Yesterday we finished filming Francis Thicke’s first video commercial. The production was a grass roots effort, with folks from all over Iowa donating their talents to pull it off. Fairfield filmmaker Geoff Boothby teamed up with sound-man Kristian Day from Des Moines and Director Drew Veysey from Ames to shoot the commercial yesterday on Francis Thicke’s farm.
Fairfield casting Director Jay Mattsson scrambled all week on short notice to get actors on the set, which included veteran Randy West of “Way Off Broadway”, Patrick Bosold, John Speer, Ed Hipp, Lynn Waters and Harvey Ross (who came all the way down from Cedar Rapids).
Nearly a hundred extras and volunteers showed up from as far as Ames to participate in the shoot.
We can’t wait to see the results of all this hard work on TV! And that’s where you come in. We can create the commercial with volunteer efforts, but we need to buy media time to get this message out all over Iowa. You will determine how many voters see Francis Thicke’s vision for Iowa food and agriculture. Help us raise 25k the end of the week to meet our goal for this initial media campaign.
This race is close! Francis Thicke can win it with your support! The nation is watching this race, and you can bet Big Ag is watching (and helping Northey) and we all need to make sure the voters throughout Iowa are watching. Help get Francis Thicke’s name and message out to Iowa!
