Jon Stewart on Presidential Energy Rhetoric

If you enjoy Jon Stewart’s daily news with a comedic twist and are concerned that we never seem to get beyond talking about energy independence in this country, you will like Stewart’s review of the energy rhetoric of the last eight Presidents.

Energy self-sufficiency for agriculture – and the country as a whole – is one of the major issues of my campaign for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture. I think we can get beyond our dependence on fossil fuels, but it will take visionary thinking, accelerated research and technology development, and resolve to stand up to the immense power of special interest groups that profit from the status quo.
